What is Reiki?
Reiki uses Universal Life Force, also called ki or qi for energy healing to improve ailments and lives in general. It has its roots in ancient eastern cultures.
The term “reiki” comes from the Japanese words “rei,” meaning universal, and “ki,” which means vital life force energy that flows through all living things. Some practitioners describe reiki as acupuncture without the needles.
Reiki is a complementary health approach in which practitioners place their hands on or just above different areas of the body. It’s based on an Eastern medicine belief that living beings have energy fields that support their health and vitality. Science can now measure these energy fields up to 8 feet away from the body.
Energy blocks, on the other hand, impede innate flow of energy, causing not only health problems, but also negative life circumstances like financial troubles or relationship problems, according to belief. Energy blocks of any living being can be treated, which is why some practitioners also work on animals and plants.
Science tells us that 99.9999% of EVERYTHING is energy. Therefor, just treating the physical will only get us so far. Many hospitals around the world recognize the benefits of Reiki and other energetic healing methods and thus offer it in conjunction with traditional medical treatments.
Health, happiness and overall life fulfillment are best achieved when we consider ALL parts of ourselves. All form begins in the energetic state. Doesn't it make sense to go to this space of creation, the space of pure potential to address creating the change we so desire?
